- Summary:
- This report reviews the training of raters and the instructions associated with each instrument and assess the reliability of the quality-of-care and seriousness-of-illness measures in the Graduate Medical Education dataset. The authors found that reliability varied substantially from measure to measure. However, the overall reliability of the dataset is at least moderately good. In addition, the sources of unreliability lie with the instruments and the medical records as well as with the raters.
