Summary:
This case provides students with the opportunity to take on the role of both an internal budget preparer and an external budget reviewer. In this case, students are presented with two different scenarios and two different roles. Students in Group A will prepare a budget for Midtown Marble, Inc., and review a budget for Jensen Jets, Inc., while students in Group B will prepare a budget for Jensen Jets, Inc., and review a budget for Midtown Marble, Inc. In Round 1, students will review the case materials and prepare a budgeted income statement for their particular scenario. In Round 2, students will review budgets from the second scenario.
