On the right of this notice is another, entitled 'Advertisement in the Edinborogh [sic] Gazette, November 30th, 1704', which had been inserted in the said Gazette by the "Lords Commissioners of Her Majesties Treasury".
Below both notices is the main text addressed to the "Right Honourable the Lords of Her Majesties Treasury and Exchequer in Scotland", which text is headed: 'Memorial for the Lords of Treasury and Exchequer, anent the discovery of 1500 lib: sterl: of additional price acclaime by Sir William Binning and Sir Thomas Kennedy of the 5000 stand of arms'.
