An alteration of Thomas Hull's adaptation and translation of Antonio Maria Lucchini's libretto for the opera 'Farnace' first performed in Bologna in 1731; Hull's adaptation was called 'The revenge of Athridates', later published in Dublin in 1769 as 'Pharnaces: or, the reveng of Athridates'.
