A vindication of the ecclesiastical part of Sir James Dalrymple's historical collections [electronic resource] : In answer ot a late pamphlet, intituled, The life of the Reverend Mr. John Sage, &c. Wherein some things are added towards the clearing the ancient government of the Church of Scotland from the mistakes of a late author. Together with a defence of what Sir James hath advanced concerning the opinion of the Scottish historians in relation to King Robert the Second's marriage with Elizabeth Muir, in answer to Mr. John Sage his criticism on that subject in his introduction to Hawthornden's works.
