Sir, The place of porter's man to Bridewell Hospital, being again likely to become vacant by the death of Philip Wagland, late junior beadle, permit me to solicit the favor of your vote and interest to succeed to that appointment, in case a vacancy should take place. I beg leave to inform you, that I have been upwards of twelve years barber to the hospital, and have for some months officiated as porter's man during the illness, and since the death of the late porter; and, I trust, my conduct in those situations has been such, as to merit the approbation of the governors who have superintended the prisons; ...
