The governors having determined, that divine service, on the day of their anniversary-meeting, shall be performed in the Chapel of the Hospital, you are accordingly presented with a ticket for that occasion. Subjoined is a brief account of the state of the institution, by which you will judge of the benefits it has rendered to the sufferings of our fellow-creatures, and thence to the community; how worthy it is of general protection; and considering the calls of wretchedness, which at present cannot be fully answered, how neessary it is, that the same spirit of benevolence, which has, for so many years, eminently distinguished the governors of the London-Hospital, should still continue to influence them [electronic resource].
