The Lives and trials of Cornelius York, George masters, and John Millard. [electronic resource] : (For divers robberies and unheard of cruelties by them committed in the county of Somerset.) Before the Hon. Mr. Justice Chapple, at the assizes held at Bridgwater for the county of Somerset, Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1740. To which is prefix'd, the providential manner of their being discover'd and apprehended as also a true copy of a letter sent by York's sweetheart while he was in Newgate, wherein she persuades him to poison himself. And to which are added, at the close of each indictment, their voluntary confessions of the respective facts; as also, their voluntary confessions of their barbarous usage to Mr. Knight's man upon Durdham-Down; and their robbing and attempting to set fire to the plume of feathers in Wine-street, &c. &c.
