The words are accurately accented according to the true pronunciation in present practice with men of letters, eminent orators, and polite speakers wherein each part of speech is properly distinguished; and thier various significations ranced in one line; so that the eye will take in at a single view every thing necessary for understanding, pronouncing, and spelling the words sought for, to render this spelling dictionary cheap, concise, and protable; such words are omitted as being neither properly English, or used in good authors, which serve only to mislead and embarrass the purchaser.
