A catalogue of books, which will be sold by auction (without reserve) by Edward Jeffery, at his room, No. 10, Pall-Mall, on Monday, the 11th of May, and the seventeen following days (Sundays excepted,) containing Bibilotheca Russelliana : Or, the valuable library of the late Dr. Russell, author of the histories of ancient and modern Europe: the libraries of two other gentleman: a great number of valuable prints, pictures, drawings; fifty lots of valuable copper-plates, &c. &c. Among the books are, with many others equally valuable, Mr. Granger's biographical history, every leaf inlaid in royal folio paper, 12 vols. Russia, illustrated with innumerable portraits-Dugdale's Monasticon, 3 vols-Hutchins's Dorsethire, 2 vols-Hafled's Kent, 3 vols-History of the Howard family, by the late Duke of Norfolk, illustrated, royal folio, with many manuscript additions, superbly bound in Morocco, a very fine book-Museum Florentinum, 10 vols. a matchless copy-Bayle's dictionary, 5 vols. large paper, illustrated, bound in russia-Burnet's own times, 2 vols. large paper, superbly bound, illustrated-Picart's religious ceremonies, 7 vols. large paper-Gentleman's magazine, 80 vols. in russia, gilt leaves-parliamentary debates to the present time, 118 vols-Clarke's Cæsar and Homer, 4 vols. large paper, fine copy-Fabricius's bibliotheca Græca-Tyrwhitt's Chaucer-Cameron's Baths of the Romans-Hearne's ectypta varia-Montfaucon's antiquities, 15 tomes, best edition-Ashmole's Berkshire, 3 vols.-Har... miscellany, 8 vols.-Edmondson's peerage, 6 vols-Polyglot Bible-Catesby's Carolina, 2 vols. coloured morocco, original edition-dart's Westminister, 2 vols. coloured Morocco, original edition-Dart's Westminster, 2 vols. large paper-The philosophical transactions, complete, to 1794 inclusive-a great many old black letter scarce chronicles-poetry-plays, &c. &c. The first three days of this sale to be viewed on Saturday the 9th; and from the extensive room the articles take up, to prevent confusion, only three days succeeding each day's sale will be on view.
