Summary:
The 3rd International Conference on Biospheric Harmony Advanced Research (ICOBAR 2021) continued the success of the ICOBAR series started in 2019. The aim of this conference was to promote the notion of "Biospheric Harmony" which highlights the importance of sustainable development, green technology, and industrial and manufacturing systems. This year’s main theme was focused on “Sustainable Innovation: Science and Technology to Foster and Empower the Society." Continuous growth in research activities around the world has driven us to propose a movement to rethink the purpose of the research. Sustainable innovation means doing research that considers sustainability factors such as environmental, social, and financial aspects in proposed technology, which is integrated from ideation to commercialization to use in the society. Such innovation may be incremental, a redesign, an alternative, or even a disruptive technology which will help us to attain the same goal: biospheric harmony.
