Summary:
Regional social and environmental indicators includes regional data on the environment, including air pollution and municipality waste; health, including physician and hospital beds density; safety, indcluding homicides, car theft and mortality due to transport; social inclusion, including the rate of young people neither in employment nor in education and training (NEET) and, the rate of early leavers from education and training; and housing, including the number of rooms per capita and housing cost as a share of household income. The territorial grids (TL2 and TL3) used in this database are officially established and relatively stable in all OECD member countries, and are used by many as a framework for implementing regional policies.
