- A middle-aged woman with a suspicious, hostile affect reveals paranoid ideas, suggesting the interviewer "and your people" have been spying on her. Her answers reveal that she has delusions. Because she is so guarded, it is difficult to ascertain if she also has hallucinations, a symptom that would better confirm a diagnosis of schizophrenia.
