- A middle-aged woman demonstrates negative symptoms of a very flat affect and very restrictive movement. She also demonstrates a positive symptom of having thought-blocking as well as the delusion that a god with strong powers is "stealing" her thoughts, thought withdrawal. Having both positive and negative symptoms qualify her for a diagnosis of schizophrenia.
