- Summary:
- This manuscript is of two fragments from an Ashkenazic Maḥzor codex for the Pilgrim Festivals; surviving is the lower portions of two leaves from the piyutim recited on the Shaḥarit of Shavuʻot, possibly what originally was the lower corners of two adjoined leaves. The surviving text on the first leaf is from stanzas of the anonymous אלפים שנה נמתקתי בחיכו; beginning [בתוך קהל] ועדה : [רחק איש שד]ה וקרב איש תם until חומות שנים עשר נחתמו [מזה חותם] (f. 1r), and [ואמר] להם יש לי טעם ביני ובין עם until וא ישראל [הוא נותן עז ותעצומות לעם] (f. 2r); the second leaf contains text from the successive אתו מצות וחקים באר הטיב חקוקים (the piyut of the Decalogue), beginning with [אין כמוך באלוהים] וידבר אלהים : [תתו קול עוז] אל אלים until סער צירים וחבלים (f. 1r), continuing with פודך מסבלות ענמים until תמורי אל לא-יהיה לך לא יהיה לך (f. 2v).
