Summary:
Female self-publishers from Mexico, Latin America and Spain face the situations of violence that women live every day, through the creation and publication of fanzines. Autoeditoras: hacemos femzines was a creative project born in Mexico City in 2014 by the hand of "Yo, la peor de Todas" Iurhi Peña and Gelen Jeleton with the aim of creating links between self-publishers. Faced with the situations of violence that women live daily, they looked for fanzines and self-managed publications made by women (all), feminists, transfeminists, ecofeminists, queer feminists, community feminists, and LGBTIQA. Authors Iurhi Peña is the editor of Beibi Creyzi (a micro-publishing house of feminist-queer graphics and Risograph workshop in Mexico City), and Gelen Jeleton (María Ángeles Alcántara Sánchez, b. Murcia , Spain and Berenice Medina are visual artists.
