Summary:
One of the causes of the accelerated growth in urban areas is the abandonment of rural zones. In the case of the town of Imala (a rural town on the outskirts of the city of Culiacan in the State of Sinaloa), some surviving houses have adapted to modern times to serve cultural and gastronomic tourism, taking into account that this town was being abandoned as a result of violence and drug trafficking. This has caused a phenomenon of speculation, which has caused a cultural clash with the construction of second residential buildings and social dynamics that represent a risk of disappearance for the cultural heritage in order to build more appropriate scenarios for tourism.
