- Summary:
- The Moche valley land planning in Pre-Columbian times. Based on the analysis of the Moche Valley oasis, and in particular on the relationship between the coastal natural space and the conceived space, the conference decodes the process of becoming sedentary in the first inhabitants, the formal repertoire of monumental architecture and the "urban" typologies. The author proposes to decipher the principles that governed space organization during those periods. His analysis demonstrates the integration of a sacred nature, and the paradox of an open system of network control and spatial segregation. Finally, he evidences the inexistence of exogenous interventions before the Spanish one.
