A / Arte Religioso summarizes the religious heritage of the historic center of the city of Guatemala. The book is a revised and augmented version of a publication on local religious architecture. The author describes the beginning of religious orders and their work in the Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción, highlighting the construction of 27 temples in the Historic Center and its surroundings as well as the artistic work that is protected in these constructions. The publication also includes 4 special articles (disappeared religious architecture, builders in the valley of the Ermita, altarpieces and stained-glass windows) and is accompanied by historical photographs, plans, elevations, watercolor illustrations and drawings of architectural facades.
