Summary:
The exhibition was the outcome of the collaboration between the Colombian Truth Commission and the international research agency Forensic Architecture (FA, University of London). This alliance is unique in the international arena and a pioneer in the history of truth commissions, because it articulates the clarification of human rights violations with spatial and technological research methodologies, generating audiovisual and artistic results. The Banco de la República joins this alliance from the MAMU to present to the public, promote readings and interpretations, as well as meeting points with its program"La paz se toma la palabra" (Peace takes the word). The investigation focused on three cases: the dispossession in the banana region of Urabá Antioquia, the forced disappearance after the seizure and retaking of the Palace of Justice and the violence that has affected indigenous peoples and territories of the northeastern Amazon basin, specifically the Nukak ethnic communities. "Huellas de desaparición" included a network of rural workers, activists, lawyers, historians, scientists, geographers, designers, journalists, students, artists and architects.
