- Summary:
- The Museo Central (MUCEN), of the Banco Central de Reserva del Perú (BCRP), in the context of the celebration of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Peru presented the Project "Nación", focused on understanding Peru through art. As part of its programmed activities, MUCEN organized the exhibition "Nation, imagine Peru from the Central Museum", curated by an interdisciplinary team of five curators, made up of archaeologist Hugo Ikehara, historian Carlos Contreras, and art historians María Eugenia Yllia, Gabriela Germaná and Ricardo Kusunoki, so that from their specialties they navigate among the extensive collections of the MUCEN and select objects that bring us closer to understanding the complexity of the Peruvian nation.
