Also includes a synopsis of the play and information pertaining to its sources and early publication and performance, academic articles on homelessness in the Early Modern period, elements of comedy in King Lear, the language of the play and the notion that Shakespeare was contemplating his own retirement at the time of writing. There is also a piece by Claire van Kampen on the music in the production and company biographies.
