"Scattered throughout the country are many sites that have been sanctified in the tradition of the country's Muslim residents over the centuries. The phenomenon began with the advent of Islam and the Arab conquest of the Land of Israel in the seventh century, and it expanded greatly during the Ayyubid period and gained further momentum throughout the following Muslim periods. The sanctity of these sites And their traditions were cultivated both by Muslim rulers and by the inhabitants of the country. Quite a few sites were also attributed to biblical figures who were sacred to Judaism and Christianity and were adopted in Islamic traditions; In the Middle Ages, Jewish travelers identified the graves of Muslim saints as belonging to wise figures from the Mishna and Talmudic periods, and based on these identifications, the graves became pilgrimage centers for Jews as well. Traditions, legends, worship practices and folk stories related to the saint and the site will also be presented.
