- Summary:
- This movie is the story of a virtuoso. On July 15th, 2000 Karim Said was invited by Daniel Barenboim to give a concert at the Weimar Belvedere Music School. He played Mendelssohn's Rondo Capricioso while David Barendoïm and Christopher Nupen were in the audience, baffled by the emotion the 11 years-old pianist transmitted. "What you cannot learn, he already knows" were Barenboim's words to Christopher Nupen, who decided to make a film about the young Jordanian born pianist. Interviews with his parents and teachers reconstitute the personal travels it takes to become a world renowned pianist and to take the pressure of early success. Christopher Nupen juxtaposed Beautiful images of Karim Said's concerts, interviews and also images of his first steps at conducting.
