- Discover the rehearsal phase of a new ballet composed by the American jazz trumpet player and composer Wynton Marsalis. Considered one of the most talented trumpet players music has ever known, jazz musician Wynton Marsalis is also a master of classical music and a fine composer who received in 1997 the Pulitzer Prize for Music for the album Blood on the Fields. In 1992, Jazz at Lincoln Center and New York City Ballet commissioned the famous jazz musician to compose music for a new ballet by choreographer Peter Martins, Ballet Master in Chief of the NYCB. The film shows the preparation and the performance of the ballet.
