- Summary:
- From the 2019 Jazz à la Villette Festival, Laurent Bardainne presents his first project as the leader of the group Tigre d’eau douce, ("Freshwater Tiger"). An admirer of John Coltrane, the sensational saxophonist offers us music that is “full of good vibrations” with hints of afrobeat, Ethio-jazz, and soul. Saxophonist, composer, keyboardist, and producer Laurent Bardainne is a well-known figure in the French music scene. Co-founder of the groups Limousine and Rigolus and co-leader of the group Poni Hoax, the accomplished Bardainne has also collaborated with artists such as Pharrell Williams, Philippe Katerine, Oxmo Puccino, David Murray, Daniel Darc, Thomas de Pourquery’s group Supersonic, and the group Lost (in a duet with Camélia Jordana).
