Tithes 37th Henry VIII important argument at the Mansion House, on Saturday, 8th February, 1823, before the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, upon the Rev. Dr. Owen's application for a warrant for tithes, at 2s. 9d. in the pound, upon rack-rental, under the statute of 37th Henry VIII, and the alleged decree in pursuance thereof, when his lordship, assisted by the opinions of the recorder and the common sergeant, refused to grant the warrant, in consequence of the decree not appearing to have been enrolled : with an appendix of documents relative to the subject.
