- The book conceived by Juan Rafael Coronel is an intimate and revealing dialogue of the author about his father, Rafael Coronel Arroyo (Zacatecas, Mexico 1931-2019) through essays of art criticism, interviews, testimonies and photographs of his authorship, some of them unpublished, which give an account of the life and work of the renowned painter. The book, without being a biography, tells the life of Rafael Coronel: his family origins; his relationship and marriage to Ruth Rivera Marín, daughter of Diego Rivera; his fondness for collecting pre-Hispanic pieces and masks, and various aspects of his childhood.
