- Sol Álvarez presents a series of essays on aesthetics applied to personalities in the field of culture in Mexico that carry the common denominator that the result of their creative processes has the characteristic of the Universal concept. "Gnothi seauton (Greek aphorism meaning "Know thyself") has given me the possibility to understand how I became an artist to generate ethical and, of course, a my esthetic reality. To get to know myself even better, I have written this book hoping that it will also be reflected in my ideas, my words and my actions. It is about the creative processes of each of the artists and generators of culture about whom I write, as a tool for individual and collective transformation." (HKB Translation) --Page 15.
