Summary:
Subject: An advertisement detailing the services offered by P.S. Duval & Co. The text begins with an illuminated capital letter depicting lithographers at work. At the bottom of the text is a tableaux of practitioners of the fine and applied arts. To the left the text is bordered with flowers. To the right is a bust-length portrait of Washington in civilian dress in three-quarter view turned to his left. The portrait is set in an oval frame at the base of which is a bunch of flowers and a scroll bearing the motto "E Pluribus Unum." Below the portrait is an allegorical female figure representing the United States. At her feet rest symbols of the arts.

Print published in a catalog to an exhibition held by the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia in 1852.
