The year 2021 marked the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Santa Beatriz urbanization, the first in Lima and Peru. In this context, writer Alej Smischek (who was born in this neighborhood in 1963) presents a historical overview of that area from Pre-Hispanic times to the 21st century. The author documents the names of the former owners of these lands from the cacique Taulichusco, Nicolás de Ribera el Mozo, Captain Diego de Agüero -who gave it the name of Hacienda Santa Beatriz- and other characters and institutions that are part of Peru's history.
