Summary:

In 2007, Sandra Mavila founded AFAP (Asociación de Fomento y Apoyo al Arte Peruano), where she is now its director. The inspiration to create a non-profit association was to promote and disseminate Peruvian art, through activities that encourage the creation, exhibition, dissemination and commercialization of their works. The Maravillarte project is a national Peruvian art contest and exhibition that is organized annually. The 2022 edition was organized under the title "Perú, una obra de arte" (Peru, a work of art).
