- This book reveals an archival piece that comes directly from Yente's hands: a folder - the first of five - in which he covers his exhibitions held between 1935 and 1960; An exquisite autobiographical material that shows, in addition to his artistic career until that moment, a total supremacy in compositional and design terms in the plane. Yente practiced what we can call "self-archiving", both related to her plastic production and that of his partner Juan Del Prete. She played the role of historian, memorialist, carrying out the task of saving, ordering and carpeting catalogs, press articles, reproductions and shots of the exhibition hall, but also edited, composed and designed. Yente's self-archive folders are pieces that formally open another side of her work, cut-and paste, are from the collage family, one of the many plastic paths she explored throughout her life. Yente devoted much of her time to the memory and invoice of these personal archives. They are pieces of her present, from Yente to Yente, as they share an aura of self-perception about how she thought of herself in a more general story. They are also pieces for the future, for us, that reveal something of how she expected us to meet her and her great work.
