Summary:
A rancher from Montana opens a casino in San Francisco after he falls in love with a saloon singer and hires her away from his rival across the street, only to lose everything in the 1906 earthquake.
Duke Fergus comes to San Francisco to collect a debt owed to him by Tito, slick owner of a casino. He falls in love with Flaxen, the singer engaged to Tito. Duke loses his money at Tito's casino forcing him to leave town. When he comes back he's so lucky that he almost cleans Tito out. With his winnings, Duke builds a casino across the street from Tito, hiring Flaxen as his headliner. All's well until the great San Fran earthquake forces all of them to regroup and rebuild.
