Summary:
One of the urban models that had a major influence in the 20th century modern urbanism is the Garden City imagined by Sir Ebenezer Howard in 1902 as a response to the denaturalization of cities and as an instrument of social justice. These ideas would have a strong impact in José Luis Cuevas Pietrasanta (1881-1952), who becoming a disciple of Howard himself became one of the leading urbanists of modern Mexico. This book analyzes in detail the links between the concept and the reality of the real estate project, as well as its quality, both from the formal and environmental point of view. It is also pointed out in particular that the merit of its design cannot be reduced to the fact that the main generator of its stroke was to adapt to the topography, since this would leave aside other important factors.
