- Summary:
- This book provides novel insights into the participation of the Czech Republic in complex multinational operations abroad led by NATO, defense policy planning, and the potential the Czech Republic has to contribute to such operations. The author conducted expert interviews with civil and military professionals, complemented by content analyses of relevant policy and military documents. This book represents the first ever case study of the implementation of recent NATO counterinsurgency doctrine by a small, average country, which is not a superpower in the geopolitical, economic or military terms, and which, historically, has had only limited direct experience with the conflict management art we call counterinsurgency today.
