Summary:
This is a manuscript of distinct poems in the Shavu'ot liturgy; ibn Gabirol's Azharot begin with שמור לבי מענה (f. 2), in this manuscript with its introduction by David ben Elazar ibn Paḳuda (died circa 1125) of אמון יום זה (f. 1r); in Ibn Gabirol's composition, the Biblical commandments (מצוות עשה) are truncated from the aggregate to a shorter list, and in this custom recited on the first day, while the prohibitions (מצוות לא תעשה), which command most of the poem's contents, are recited on the second day (f. 2v). The manuscript also contains a poem by Ibn Gabirol for Yom Kippur called כתר מלכות (with the opening verses of בתפילתי יסכן גבר; the main poem begins with נפלאים מעשיך (f. 11r)).
