- Summary:
- This is a manuscript scroll of Esther, dating from 18th century Persia, written on deerskin (גויל).
- Notes:
- Ms. roll.
- Layout: Written in 19 columns, mostly of 21 lines (the 16th column, consisting of the order of hanging of the ten sons of Haman, has 11 lines in the traditional Megillah format (Bet Yosef Oraḥ ḥayim 691:6:1, Shulḥan ʻarukh Oraḥ ḥayim 691:4)).
- Script: Written in a Oriental square safrut (ritual script, used mostly for scrolls); various letters stretched to justify margins at end of scroll.
- Origin: Written in Persia (today Iran) or possibly eastern Iraq during the 18th century.
- Scroll support olivewood, with an olivewood beaded handle (likely later than the manuscript).
