Summary:
Just pals: When the town's biggest loser takes in a needy boy, his fortunes change for the better. The Iron horse: When President Lincoln authorizes the construction of a system that will connect the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railways, a contractor and surveyor set out to find the best route. 3 bad men: When a trio of bandits discovers a young woman whose father was murdered by a ruthless gang, they go from being partners in crime to comrades in chivalry to protect her. Four sons: Tale of a Bavarian family and how their lives are affected by the outbreak of World War I. Hangman's house: Forced by her father to marry a man she doesn't love, a young woman gives up hope of reuniting with her true love, until the tides of oppression change and she becomes hopeful once again.
