"This film is digitally mastered (mostly at 18 frames per second) from a 1995 restoration by the Royal Film Archive of Belgium, which combined elements from three 35mm sources, each with different titling. The tints are as was found in the earliest nitrate source copy. The new titles for this edition were written by Jeffrey Vance and are based both on detailed descriptions of the 1918 film and upon the various later intertitles. Brian Benison compiled the score from authentic photoplay arrangements of the period, using an "orchestra" of sampled instruments."
