This conference has brought together governmental, political and intellectual leaders from all over the world, participating as private citizens in a search for lasting peace. Guests tonight are Harry S. Ashmore, Deputy Chairman of the Pacem in Terris convocation and Vice President of the Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions in California; Chester A. Ronning, China expert and long time Canadian diplomat, who made two trips last year to Hanoi on a peace mission for his government; Olof Palme, Minister of Communications of Sweden; Senator J. W. Fulbright, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the United States Senate; Marian Dobrosielski, Counselor to the Foreign Minister of Poland and assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Warsaw; Prince Jean De Broglie, Member of the French National Assembly and until recently Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs; Sir Geoffrey De Freitas, Member, British Parliament and President of the Assembly of the Council of Europe.
