Summary:
Policy and governance-orientated research typically begins with 'a problem', rather than the constructs of a particular theoretical perspective, particularly when motivated by practical utility of findings. Focused on 'the problem' of adapting to climate change in policy subsystems, this case draws from a PhD study (Bosomworth, 2012) that was funded by the Bushfire Co-operative Research Centre (CRC) of Australia - a research collaboration between research institutions and end users such as industries, communities and governments.
