- Summary:
- An exhibition catalogue designed by Edward Ruscha and notable for its unusual sandpaper and screw bolt cover and bindings. Frank Gehry designed the installation for the exhibition. Bengston, Ruscha and Gehry were close friends and with his typical humor Ruscha said that he used sandpaper to represent Bengston's "gritty" personality. The catalogue is widely renowned within the genre of artist-designed books.
