Summary:
As of this century, in which most of the world's population already lives in cities of various ranks. In this context, the magnitude, capacity and agglomeration of the forms of community life will be qualitatively different in their functional realization and in the conception of the social imaginary and significant behaviors of identity, be it traditional or even in the midst of the encounter of transformations that influence its original character. This entails and, above all, has also inevitably brought about a qualitative change in the relationship between the urban and ecological nature in its planetary context. For this reason, the work carried out by the group of academics from various countries and from different institutions of higher education and scientific research during the three seminars that made up the 21st Century City Debate Forum, in 2014, convened and carried carried out by the postgraduate programs Master's Degree in Graphic Expression Processes in Architectural and Urban Projection, the Doctorate in City, Territory and Sustainability, both included in the PNPC of Conacyt and the Center for Environmental and Territorial Planning Research (CIMA) , constituted an interesting process of reflection on the future of cities.
