- Summary:
- Higher education institutions have mainly three substantive functions (teaching, research, and cultural extension), the third one promotes that academic institutions create bridges of dialogue with society and the community were they are located. This book shares a synthesis of the research project on university communication in virtual space. It focuses on the areas related to the third substantive university function, enriched with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and incorporating categories of analysis focused on design, this are: the modalities of generation and distribution of content, the transmission codes and the character of the strategies. The results of the analysis applied to 36 higher education institutions spread over six different regions of Mexico. The conclusions show a fertile field of work for graphic design professionals.
