Summary:
The artistic proposals of the first half of the 20th century in Mexico were key in the consolidation of avant-garde art, producing a change in the conceptions of recreation and aesthetics, allowing forming a new vision of art, renewing it and generating experiences with a comprehensive approach of reality. Mathías Goeritz was one of the main drivers of this renovation in the country, due to his knowledge of important avant-garde stylistic currents and his novel conception of urban and architectural space, this perspective was based on an interest in abstract art from the decade of the 40s, of the 20th century.
