- Summary:
- Recycling on urban fronts has as one of its objectives the reintegration of these spaces into the metropolis and the hierarchy and fair distribution of social, environmental and economic benefits. This document raises the need to have a broader conceptualization of the term, since in the revitalization of degraded spaces there are processes that go beyond the physical spatial Design and the environmental rethinking of the area, which forces attention to urban problems much more complex. When reviewing international proposals for revitalization in metropolitan areas (mainly European) and on urban fronts, the persistence of components was observed, which on a theoretical level distinguish these types of transformations such as: the creation of both new urban centralities and new public spaces, the introduction of a variety of functions and specifically of uses linked to the room.
