Summary:
The logbook of the ship SARAH PARKER, John Davis, master, kept from 28 February-28 August 1840, details voyages from New Orleans to Liverpool, England, with a cargo of cotton; Liverpool to New York and Savannah with passengers for the former and salt for the latter; Savannah to New Orleans; and New Orleans to Boston with cotton, sugar, tobacco, and buffalo hides. The last leaf of the volume contains a list of provisions (beef, port, and water) expended. harbour logs were kept at New Orleans, Liverpool, New York City, Savannah, and Boston.
