Narrative log of the ship CONTINENTAL, kept by John L. Manson from 1883-1884 (with gaps) while on a trading voyage through the Ombai Strait in Indonesia and from Manila, Philippines to New York with a brief stop at Edam Island (part of the Thousand Islands) in the Sunda Strait. There is an expanded series of entries September 23-27 describing the illness, death, and burial of Captain Clark. In the same volume with the logs of ADAM W. SPIES and EDITH.
