Summary:
Ships' logs kept by Robert S. Pulsifer. The first records a voyage aboard the ship RESTITUTION from Calcutta to Salem, 17 May-8 October 1812; along with a log for the brig ELLEN DOUGLAS, Boston to Calcutta, 11 July 1815-22 January 1816, with a brief stop made at Madras, India. The second volume records a voyage aboard the ELLEN DOUGLAS, commanded by John C. Bancroft, from Calcutta to Boston, 19 April-27 September 1816; along with notes on navigation (1818) and a few miscellaneous financial accounts (1819-1822).
